Etisalat Launches 4G in Herat

Etisalat started the rollout of its 4G services in Herat, the third most populated city in Afghanistan. The move to 4G was announced in an inauguration ceremony that was held in Herat city and was attended by more than 250 Etisalat`s valued customers, high-ranking government officials, and local media representatives.

With 4G LTE, the fourth generation of mobile phone, Etisalat customers in Herat can now enjoy up to ten times high-speed internet at the same price as their 3G plans and can choose from a wide range of 4G LTE data plans. The launch of 4G will also tackle connectivity challenges and will increase individuals and businesses' productivity.

In a message, Etisalat CEO, Mohamed Osman congratulated the launch of 4G to the people of Herat and said ‘We are committed to introduce the world-class voice and data services using our cutting edge technology.’ He further said ‘The rollout of 4G will enable our valued customers to benefit from the fast and reliable internet anywhere and anytime.’

Etisalat continues to upgrade its network to keep people in remote areas connected and provide existing customers with enhanced, flexible, and cost-effective voice and data solutions. Only recently, the company is massively rolling out across the country.
