Etisalat`s Annual Quran Contest Concludes

Kabul - The 15th round of Etisalat`s Annual Quran Contest came to a successful end on 25 March 2022. The closing ceremony of the contest was held in the National Radio Television of Afghanistan (RTA) hall where high-ranking government officials from the Ministry of Hajj and Islamic Affairs, management of RTA, Etisalat representatives, and media people were present.

In this contest, which was organized in 7 zones of Afghanistan, more than one thousand reciters participated and only top 21 were selected as the finalists. After an exciting competition in the final round, 10 top reciters were ranked by judges as the winners and were rewarded with certificates and cash prizes by Etisalat.

Contest`s recording will be aired by its media partner, RTA, throughout Ramadan 30 minutes before Iftar.

Etisalat Provides School Books for Students

Kabul – July 5, 2020

As a part of its corporate social responsibility and in support of MoE`s Alternative Education Program, Etisalat has introduced a new data bundle that enables the students and teachers to access and download school books from a dedicated website- developed by the company. The aim is to tackle the challenges of school closures due to the spread of COVID-19 and help the students and teachers to continue with their lessons when attending schools is not possible.

Since its launch on 28 June 2020, the bundle, which offers 1GB data at 5Afs per month, has gained increased attention and has been labeled as the most affordable data bundle in the market by Etisalat customers on social media. The bundle can be used to access http://elearning.etisalat.af only and on the condition of having another data bundle activated.

“We are aiming to turn the lockdown into a learning opportunity for school students in Afghanistan by providing them internet at the lowest possible prices,” said Etisalat Afghanistan CEO, Matthew Willsher.

Etisalat Afghanistan Launches 4G LTE in Mazar-e-Sharif

On 28th December 2020, Etisalat Afghanistan launched its 4G LTE services in Balkh province. The launch ceremony was held in Etisalat`s Mazar-e-Sharif branch and was attended by the local government authorities and media representatives.

With 4G LTE, the fourth generation of mobile phone, Etisalat customers in Mazar-e-Sharif can now enjoy up to ten times high-speed internet at the same price as their 3G plans. The launch will also enable customers to choose from a wide range of 4G LTE data plans.

Etisalat Afghanistan Launches 4G LTE in Kandahar

On 26th July 2020, Etisalat Afghanistan launched its 4G LTE services in Kandahar province. After Kabul and Jalalabad, Kandahar is now officially the third province where Etisalat offers 4G LTE services to its customers.

With 4G LTE, the fourth generation of mobile phone, Etisalat customers in Kandahar can now enjoy up to ten times high-speed internet at the same prices as their 3G plans. The customers will also have different options to choose for their data plans using a wide range of 4G LTE data bundles such as the daily 300MB bundle at AFN15 only- offered to welcome customers.

Etisalat Embarks on Ramadan Food Distribution Program

Kabul – 14th June 2016

As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility and to mark the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, Etisalat Afghanistan launched its Food Distribution Program in Kabul. Through this program, Etisalat team visits local Masjids at Iftar time to give food to fasting people throughout Ramadan.

‘The purpose of this program is to promote the culture of sharing our fortune with underprivileged segment of the society.’ said Dr. Salah, CEO of Etisalat Afghanistan, ‘By giving a food package, you can ensure that some poor people receive a nourishing Iftar. Thus, we aim to donate more than 4500 packs of cooked food to needy during Ramadan.’

Giving to society and bringing positive change in peoples` life are areas where Etialat has been focused on. Etisalat`s food distribution and restoration of Masjids are company`s contribution to establish a sustainable community.
